Ann P. Ingerson

Ann Ingerson began her art career at age 40. After 18 years as a research biochemist, she decided she wanted to do something else with her life. An opportunity to get out of research appeared, and she decided to take some art classes. As she enjoyed sewing, Ann originally planned to enroll in fashion classes at Harper College in Palatine, Illinois. However, the classes were all full, so she decided to take some basic art classes instead. Etching appealed to Ann because of the technical aspects of it, and she soon found her niche in this art form.

As a professional printmaker, Ann Ingerson specializes in a variety of etching processes. Her imagery is quite diverse, and includes realistic landscapes in striking black and white natural objects such as nautical creatures and floral's, approached with a contemporary flair. For art collectors with a desire to decorate with the unusual, Ann custom designs woven paper and natural floral designs into her etchings. Every step of the creative and design process is carried out by the artist.

Ann's artworks are always on display here at the Art and Frame Galerie, and she is available to do any of her pieces in custom color schemes. If you are interested in a custom design for your home, please contact us at artnet474@aol.com .
